My Background

Muddy Mic Pottery was a life long dream of mine that was kick started during the corona year.  The last "normal" weekend was spent in Rome with my best friend from high school, Beth, who always calls me Mic. We were going around the dinner table with old friends and saying what we wished the other person knew. Beth says to me "I wish you would do something more with your pottery and let your creativity flow."  Lockdown gave me time to clean out my basement and finally upgraded my 1978 Shimpo "Owen" with a brand new Shimpo wheel "Clive".  I am hoping to get my own electric kiln soon, who is already named "Heat Ledger" after firing my pots at a friend's wood fire kiln the last 10 years.
